The University Centre of Maghnia hosted today, Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the activities of the first day of the National Conference on \"Hermeneutics and the Aesthetics of Literary Interpretation.\" The event was organized by the Institute of Literature and Languages, with broad participation from professors and researchers representing various university institutions.<\/div>
\u2013 The \"Mourad Naoum\" Conference Hall hosted the official opening ceremony, which began with the national anthem. A speech by the Director of the University Centre of Maghnia was delivered on his behalf by the Vice Director in charge of Post-Graduate Studies and External Relations, Professor Bellahcene Mohammed. He welcomed the attendees and emphasized that hosting this event reflects the institution's commitment to supporting the humanities, noting that openness to modern critical approaches is the only way to link the university with global intellectual movements.<\/div>
For her part, the Director of the Institute of Literature and Languages, Dr. Fatima Zohra Ennabati, focused in her speech on the essential role played by the institute in promoting academic training, praising the efforts of the organizing committee in choosing the topic of \"Hermeneutics\" as it constitutes the cornerstone for understanding and deconstructing complex texts.<\/div>
-In the same context, the Conference President, Dr. Bekaye Mohammed, delivered a welcoming and keynote address, through which he announced the official launch of the sessions. He emphasized that this conference seeks to open new horizons for young researchers to re-read literary heritage and contemporary production using renewed interpretive mechanisms that go beyond superficial readings.<\/div>

Interpreting Writing: A presentation on Soufi thought in the works of Ibn Arabi, delivered by Dr. Mohammed Khattab.<\/div>
Semiotics of Passions: A reading into the philosophy of \"Ricoeur\" and \"Greimas,\" presented by Prof. Dalila Zeghoudi.<\/div>
Interactive Literature: A study on the aesthetics of reception and digital reading.<\/div>
\u2013 Scientific workshops (remote) were also launched in parallel, featuring participation from prominent academic figures from various universities, addressing topics of philosophical hermeneutics and the stakes of reading.<\/div>
