The Bachelor's degree in Monetary and Financial Economics (EMF) accepts students with a Baccalaureate degree who are attracted by the multidisciplinary nature of this program and who show a particular interest in economic and social issues, as well as financial and banking aspects.
Students with a prior "Classical System" degree (Baccalaureate + 3 years) or those who have completed their second year at a National School of Economics are eligible for direct enrollment in the third year of this program.
The University Centre of Maghnia (UCM) offers diverse undergraduate programs open to both national and international applicants, subject to the following regulatory frameworks:
- High School Graduates (Baccalaureate Holders) Prospective students holding a Bachelor’s degree (Baccalaureate) or an equivalent international qualification may apply according to the criteria and procedures updated annually by the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
- Holders of Prior University Degrees (Classic System)
Candidates seeking to advance their studies or specialize further may apply based on available pedagogical capacity and ministerial guidelines. This includes:

Students who already hold a university degree may apply for a second degree programsubject to seat availability and specific departmental requirements

UCM warmly welcomes international applicants. Admission is granted based on the following:
- The candidate must hold a degree in Baccalaureate degree or an internationally recognized equivalent
- Registration via the official ""Study in Algeria"" (Study in Algeria).
- Prior attainment of an Equivalence Certificate from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Important Notes Regarding Tuition Fees:
- Tuition-Free: Education is free for Algerian residents and international students receiving official scholarships from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education
- Fee-Paying: International students under the "Study in Algeria" program (non-scholarship) are subject to annual fees fees covering tuition, accommodation, and catering, determined by current regulatory decrees.
The structure of Bachelor's programs at the Institute of Economics and Management allows students to choose their specialization progressively, according to the following model:
First Year (Year 01)
- First Semester It serves as a common gateway between the three undergraduate tracks at the Faculty of Economics and Management. Its goal is to introduce students to diverse educational content, helping them determine their orientation toward one of these tracks.
- Semester Two It is intended for all students who have chosen the tracks of Economic Sciences and Management Sciences
At the end of the first year, students are required to choose one of the two proposed tracks for the second year:

Second Year (Bachelor 2 / L2)
The second year offers two study options, from which the student must choose one:
- Economic Sciences track
- Management Sciences track
Third Year (Bachelor 3 / L3)
Studies continue in the two previous tracks during the third year of the Bachelor's degree, and two additional specializations are opened starting from this year:
- Monetary and Financial Economics
- Economics and Institutional Management
The Monetary and Financial Economics specialization includes numerous elements related to the institutional environment, whether economic or social. Additionally, it provides knowledge on how institutions adapt to new variables and modern applications. This degree enables students to acquire fundamental knowledge related to financial sciences and banking techniques
