In his address, he welcomed the attendees and emphasized that hosting this scientific event reflects the institution's commitment to supporting scientific research and promoting higher education. He also highlighted the importance of linking the university to its economic and industrial environment, calling for research to be directed toward addressing real-world challenges and keeping pace with technological advancements.
– For his part, the Director of the Institute of Science and Technology, Dr. Guiz Amine, emphasized the pivotal role the institute plays in encouraging applied research. He praised the efforts of the organizing committee and noted that such scientific events contribute to developing national competencies and strengthening cooperation between various stakeholders in the academic field.
– Subsequently, Professor Bourdim Mokhtar, acting as the Conference Chair, delivered a welcoming and keynote address, officially launching the scientific sessions. He underscored the national event's research objectives centered on developing innovative mechanical solutions. He further highlighted that the conference serves as a scientific forum for exchanging expertise and showcasing the latest research findings across various mechanical disciplines, while providing young researchers with a platform to present their work.
– The scientific program for the first day included a plenary session chaired by Professor Benramdan Mohammed, featuring two high-level technical presentations:
First Presentation: Delivered by Professor Oudad Wahid (University of Ain Témouchent), it explored the integration between biomechanics and mechanical engineering, as well as its applications in the health and industrial sectors.
Second Presentation: Delivered by Professor Benachour Mustapha (University of Tlemcen), focusing on the mechanical integrity of structures and the impact of residual stresses on installations.
Scientific Poster Session
– During the afternoon session, the scientific momentum shifted to the poster presentation session, where more than 40 researchers showcased the results of their field and laboratory studies. The topics were diverse, covering:
Energy and the Environment: Studies on innovative solar systems and the development of building materials for hot climates.
Maintenance and Artificial Intelligence: Utilizing Deep Learning techniques to predict and maintain faults in rotating machinery
Materials Engineering: Vibration analysis in composite plates, as well as pipe repair and welding techniques.
Biomechanics: Engineering applications focused on improving the quality of dental prosthetics.
The activities of the first day concluded with an extensive scientific discussion between the attendees and presenters, followed by a ceremony to distribute certificates of participation to the participating professors and poster presenters. The event wrapped up in a distinguished academic atmosphere, with high expectations for the scientific and technical recommendations that the second day will yield.
