The National Conference titled: "Human and Social Sciences in Algeria: Reality, Trajectories, and Challenges"

The conference activities commenced this morning, Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in the Lecture Hall, in the presence of a group of distinguished researchers and academic figures in sociology, psychology, and history from various universities across the country, brought together by this scientific institution at the University Centre of Maghnia. In the words of Professor Meknounif Chouaib from the University of Tlemcen, who stated: "The sun has shone from the University Centre of Maghnia," the official opening of the conference was announced by the Conference Chair... Dr . Hassni Hamra who welcomed the distinguished guests and praised the efforts of the professors responsible for the success of this scientific gathering. This followed the speech delivered by the Vice-Director in charge of Post-Graduate Studies and External Relations, Dr. Kadri Riad, on behalf of Professor Mourad Naoum, Director of the University Centre. He, in turn, gave a welcoming and motivating address, noting that this conference represents the very first scientific event organized by the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences.

The most significant outcome of this conference was the signing of a partnership and work agreement between the University Centre of Maghnia and the research laboratory of the Department of History at the University of Tlemcen, headed by Professor Zerriouh Abdelhak.

The first sessions of the conference are set to begin under the chairmanship of Professor Meknounif Chouaib, marking the start of a vibrant atmosphere filled with creative ideas and intellectual depth. The contributions from renowned academic figures, drawing from seminal works, have lent the conference significant value and prestige.
