Digital Transformation as a path for enterprise development: From initiative to sustainability

The University Centre of Maghnia hosted today, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, a national scientific seminar titled:
"Digital Transformation as a Path for Enterprise Development: From Initiative to Sustainability," jointly organized by the Laboratory for the Evaluation and Prospecting of Economic Policies and Enterprise Strategies and the Institute of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences.
This seminar comes within the framework of the growing interest in digital transformation, as it is a pivotal issue in developing management methods, supporting scientific research, and promoting sustainability.
– In the opening ceremony, the Director of the University Center, Professor Kadri Riadh, delivered a speech in which he emphasized the pivotal role of the university in adopting digital transformation as an essential tool for developing academic and administrative performance. He also stressed the importance of encouraging scientific research and innovation among students and faculty to keep pace with technological transformations.
– This was followed by a speech by the Director of the Institute of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences, Professor Mekidiche Mohamed, who emphasized that digital transformation is no longer an option but a strategic necessity to keep pace with modern challenges. He called for strengthening partnerships between academic research and the needs of economic and social institutions, as well as integrating digitalization into university training programs.
– The Director of the Laboratory for the Evaluation and Prospecting of Economic Policies and Enterprise Strategies also delivered a speech focusing on the contribution of scientific research to developing digital transformation mechanisms. He explained that digitalization is not merely a technical tool, but a strategic path aimed at achieving sustainability and improving the capabilities of both institutions and the university alike.
– The Seminar Chair, Professor Terbeche Mohamed, delivered his speech emphasizing the importance of choosing digital transformation as a theme to keep pace with cognitive and technological shifts. He stressed the necessity of the university's involvement in this path by encouraging serious scientific research, fostering academic debate, and training students in line with modern requirements, while praising the efforts of professors, researchers, and students in making this scientific event a success.
– The seminar saw the participation of professors, researchers, and students from various disciplines. Scientific presentations were delivered covering several themes, most notably:

  • The concept of digital transformation and its academic dimensions
  • Digitalization in Administrative Management
  • The role of modern technology in supporting sustainability
  • The contribution of scientific research to the development of digital transformation mechanisms.
– The sessions featured interactive discussions among participants, centered on developing scientific research in the field of digitalization and integrating digital transformation within the university environment, as well as its role in building competencies and keeping pace with sustainable development requirements.
– At the conclusion of the seminar, participating professors and members of the scientific and organizing committees were honored in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the success of this academic event, in an atmosphere that embodied the spirit of cooperation and teamwork within the university community.
