Strengthening cooperation between universities and business incubators Toward a supportive environment for innovation and entrepreneurship

Today, Sunday, November 16, 2025, the Institute of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences at the University Centre of Maghnia organized a national seminar titled: "Strengthening Cooperation Between Universities and Business Incubators: Toward a Supportive Environment for Innovation and Entrepreneurship."

– The seminar was distinguished by the high-quality participation of specialized professors and researchers from several national universities, alongside the presence of students who enriched the discussions.

– The national seminar commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the playing of the Algerian national anthem. In his speech, the Director of the University Centre of Maghnia emphasized the university's pivotal role as a locomotive for local and economic development, highlighting the significance of business incubators in transforming academic ideas into successful entrepreneurial projects. For his part, the Director of the Institute pointed out the importance of applied scientific research in addressing economic challenges and encouraging promising student initiatives. Meanwhile, the Chair of the national seminar stressed the centrality of this meeting as a platform for exchanging expertise and establishing effective cooperation networks between various stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem to serve sustainable development.

– Activities then proceeded across three in-person sessions and a virtual workshop, where presentations focused on the role of university business incubators as a lever for startups and ways to activate cooperation between academic institutions and the economic environment. Discussions also covered mechanisms for adopting integrated models (University-Incubator) to instill a culture of innovation and enhance the entrepreneurial mindset among students, in alignment with national objectives.

– The first day concluded with open discussions that enriched the scientific exchange between professors and researchers, paving the way for an even more rewarding second day tomorrow, Monday.
