University Centre of Maghnia

Entrepreneurship Development Center (CDE)

The Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) is a space dedicated to activating programs that encourage the creation of enterprises and businesses for the benefit of university students.

What We Strive to Achieve

Preparation, Readiness, and Guidance through:

  • Promoting entrepreneurship and the entrepreneurial spirit in partnership with stakeholders within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Informing and directing entrepreneurs and project founders toward qualified professionals through a single gateway: Moukawil.dz

Support for Accessing Finance through:

  • Supporting specialized stakeholders in business creation by providing training on the core requirements for obtaining funding, in accordance with the new ANADE approach.
  • Identifying and promoting financial instruments among these stakeholders (Honor Loans, Micro-loans, Bank Guarantees, etc.) as well as within support bodies (Consultancy, Training, Guidance, etc.).

Awareness and Training Programs

The Center's strategic plan focuses primarily on two core activities: Awareness-Raising and Training.

Awareness Programs

This will be implemented through tailored programs designed to develop entrepreneurial skills within the university community, including:

Workshops and Lectures

Organizing interactive workshops and lectures led by experienced entrepreneurs. These sessions allow founders to share their journeys—including successes and challenges—while providing practical advice on business creation. This enables attendees to gain valuable insights and connect directly with established entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship Competitions

Organizing entrepreneurship competitions and challenges where participants pitch their ideas to a jury of experts. These competitions foster creativity, test the feasibility of ideas, and provide funding opportunities for promising projects.

Trade Fairs and Exhibitions

Organizing entrepreneurship exhibitions to promote and support local entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship Training

The training aims to:

Gaining a profound understanding of the entrepreneurial process. The training aims to introduce future university entrepreneurs to the various stages of business creation—from ideation to execution—including strategic planning, fundraising, product or service development, operations management, and marketing.

Developing business management skills: This includes mastering core management principles such as financial management, human resources (HR), operations management, marketing and sales management, and supply chain management. Future university entrepreneurs must be capable of making informed decisions in all these areas to lead their ventures toward success.

Cultivating creativity and innovation: Entrepreneurship often demands fresh ideas and innovative approaches. The training aims to stimulate creativity among future university entrepreneurs, encouraging them to think outside the box and develop unique products or services that stand out in the market.

Complying with legal and regulatory frameworks: Establishing and managing a business involves adhering to specific rules and regulations. Therefore, future entrepreneurs must be fully aware of the legal and regulatory requirements relevant to their specific industry and country.

Empowering participants to acquire the essential skills for effective leadership, team motivation, and sound decision-making, while fostering a spirit of teamwork and accountability.

Fostering a positive work environment built on collaboration and mutual respect, thereby contributing to increased productivity levels.

Enhancing participants' ability to analyze data, anticipate challenges, and make decisions based on a clear vision and well-defined strategic goals.

Providing networking opportunities with experts and professionals across various fields, alongside access to practical resources that support their projects and expand their professional horizons.

To achieve the aforementioned objectives, the Center strives to provide a comprehensive training program for student entrepreneurs. This program includes several training modules, as follows:

Module 1

Entrepreneurship Fundamentals

Module 2

Strategic Business Planning

Module 3

Operations and Resource Management

Module 4

Business Creation and Legal Frameworks
