A Supportive Learning Environment

A stimulating research climate

A safe professional environment

Through our management of the Institute, we strive to prioritize the scientific, pedagogical, and administrative aspects, driven by our commitment to achieving academic excellence and progress for our students, the department, and the University Centre as a whole. We would also like to highlight the Institute's significant efforts—in line with the Ministry's initiatives—to embrace the fields of innovation, economic startups, and entrepreneurship. By involving students in creating their own projects within the field of Social Sciences and providing them with a conducive environment, the Institute has successfully realized several early-stage projects and registered multiple patents. Finally, we hope this website meets the aspirations of all students, professors, and researchers. We wish everyone great success in all their endeavors

Institute Strategy

The Institute provides a solid academic education, organized into teaching units and modules distributed according to a hierarchy and a network of relationships dictated by the field of Humanities and Social Sciences – Department of Social Sciences. This training culminates after three years in an Academic Bachelor's degree, offered through two integrated tracks within two departments:

Department of Sociology, Department of Psychology ; and on the other hand, in accordance with the prepared degrees—namely Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate—all following the nationally adopted (LMD) system.

Academic education and training consist of core, methodological, exploratory, and transversal modules. In addition to this academic nature, the training includes a significant number of internships, as well as research projects conducted as part of the requirements for obtaining both Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

Training at the Institute

The Institute provides training at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, implementing the LMD system

Bachelor

Undergraduate studies last for three years, at the end of which students are awarded a Bachelor's degree

Master

Students can then pursue their Master's studies for two years, subject to specific conditions and the academic offers available each academic year.

Doctorate

As for postgraduate studies, they are dedicated to the third-cycle doctorate (PhD), following participation in a competitive entrance examination organized by the Institute according to the positions available each academic year

Specializations

Bachelor

Sociology department

A field of knowledge specialized in studying the various issues and phenomena that frame society, such as social relations and problems; it is thus based on dissecting and analyzing these phenomena and issues to identify effective solutions for addressing them, acting as a diagnostic act for social ills.

Bachelor

Psychology department

It is the science specialized in studying human characteristics, behaviors, and thinking patterns; it also contributes to improving and modifying intellectual and behavioral performance, while striving to confront emergency circumstances and psychological and social conflicts to stabilize human personality traits and direct various emotions through a guided and scientific strategy.

Master

Organization and work sociology specialization

Studying the sociology of organization and work is considered fundamental in the social sciences, as it allows for an in-depth exploration of all aspects of organization. Since organization is the core pillar of social life, this diverse field involves applications across all aspects of contemporary social life, helping to accurately analyze society's institutions and systems.

The Master's program in the sociology of organization and work aims to provide students with a deep theoretical understanding of the nature of work, its tools, and its dynamics, as well as practical methods for investing in and integrating human resources into diverse work environments—whether administrative, industrial, or service-based. This requires a precise understanding of the legislation and the physical, administrative, and human organizational structures of institutions.

This program focuses on preparing qualified graduates to apply theories professionally and rationally in managing work environments. This is achieved through continuous training prior to entering the labor market—a fundamental requirement for meeting the demands of a modern economy that relies on innovation, renewal, and the creation of value-added.

Master

Clinical Psychology specialization

The Master's program in Clinical Psychology aims to deepen students' academic and theoretical knowledge regarding the understanding of personality in states of "normality" and "disorder," with a focus on its cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and social aspects.

This is achieved through an integrated perspective and comprehensive analysis using diverse theoretical approaches, such as psychoanalytic, behavioral, cognitive, and humanistic models. Additionally, the program aims to train students in applying various psychological examination techniques, mastering their procedures, and utilizing multiple diagnostic methods—including projective and objective tools—within the social and cultural context of the subjects.

In addition, the program includes training students in conducting scientific research using the clinical method and providing intervention proposals for specific cases. It also helps in identifying problems that can serve as research topics for Master's and Doctoral studies, whether in research laboratories or research units.
