Objectives

The national orientation toward economic diversification and the promotion of investment and entrepreneurship across various sectors necessitates the protection of the national economy while simultaneously capitalizing on its advantages. This aims to achieve economic development by training specialists in the field of business administration who are capable of efficiently managing physical and human capital, as well as ensuring the effective utilization of resources through modern management methods. Furthermore, it aims to develop economic researchers to solve issues related to the optimal use of resources, ensuring the best possible performance for both individual institutions and the economy as a whole. The general objectives of this training can be summarized as follows:

  • Acquiring the greatest possible amount of scientific and technical knowledge in the field of business administration.
  • This specialization allows for the training of high-quality competencies that contribute to improving institutional performance in a way that serves economic development.
  • Enabling students to choose the training paths that best suit their abilities and interests
  • • Mastery of economic and technical tools specialized in business management.
  • Developing knowledge in the fields of strategic planning, human resource management, and production management.
  • The ability to understand and apply economic and administrative concepts in the field of business administration.
  • Adapting to the requirements of the national and local labor market.
  • Focusing on linking the pedagogical and theoretical aspects with practical application.
Targeted Audience

The Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration accepts students holding a baccalaureate degree who wish to pursue studies in this field, given their interest in business administration and everything related to the management of private and public institutions and administrations.

Students holding previous degrees from the classical system (Baccalaureate + 3 years) and students who have completed their second year at national schools of management may enroll directly in the third year of this program.

Admission Requirements

The University Centre of Maghnia (UCM) offers diverse undergraduate programs open to both national and international applicants, subject to the following regulatory frameworks:

  1. High School Graduates (Baccalaureate Holders) Prospective students holding a Bachelor’s degree (Baccalaureate) or an equivalent international qualification may apply according to the criteria and procedures updated annually by the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
  2. Holders of Prior University Degrees (Classic System)

Candidates seeking to advance their studies or specialize further may apply based on available pedagogical capacity and ministerial guidelines. This includes:

  • Holders of Prior University Degrees License degree (Classic System).
  • Holders of the DEUABaccalaureate + 3 years Classic System)
  1. Second Degree Candidates

Students who already hold a university degree may apply for a second degree programsubject to seat availability and specific departmental requirements

  1. International Students ("Study in Algeria" Program)

UCM warmly welcomes international applicants. Admission is granted based on the following:

  • The candidate must hold a degree in Baccalaureate degree or an internationally recognized equivalent
  • Registration via the official ""Study in Algeria"" (Study in Algeria).
  • Prior attainment of an Equivalence Certificate from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Important Notes Regarding Tuition Fees:

  • Tuition-Free: Education is free for Algerian residents and international students receiving official scholarships from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education
  • Fee-Paying: International students under the "Study in Algeria" program (non-scholarship) are subject to annual fees fees covering tuition, accommodation, and catering, determined by current regulatory decrees.
Structure and Organization of the Training Programme

The Bachelor's degree training at the Institute of Economic Sciences and Management Sciences follows the model below:

  • First Year Bachelor's Degree:
  • First Semester: Enabling the student to acquire fundamental and basic knowledge and to master core economic concepts.
  • Semester TwoSecond Semester: Work focuses on consolidating the student's economic concepts in the field of economics through key modules :

At the end of the first year, students are required to choose one of the two proposed tracks for the second year:

  • Economic Sciences
  • Management Sciences

Second Year Bachelor's Degree:

The second year offers two study options, from which the student must choose one:

  • Economic Sciences Path: Which ensures that the student gains comprehensive knowledge
  • Management Sciences Path: Which ensures that the student gains knowledge of the fundamentals of management within economic institutions and administrations.

Third Year Bachelor's in Business Administration:

By choosing the Business Administration major, students can acquire the maximum possible scientific and technical knowledge in the field of business administration. This specialization also enables the development of high-quality competencies that contribute to improving institutional performance in a way that serves economic development.

Targeted Knowledge

The Bachelor's degree in Business Administration aims to build a significant knowledge base for the student through:

  • • The ability to use quantitative techniques in solving management related problems within organizations.
  • Deepening the student's knowledge regarding organization and human resource management.

Providing the student with strategic planning and production management techniques.

This specialization is essential for developing high-quality personnel specialized in business administration, proficient in managing and directing projects and institutions. It provides students with the most important modern trends in this field to keep pace with environmental developments and transformations at both local and international levels. This helps narrow the unemployment gap and ensures a swift and successful transition from the classroom to promising career paths

The University Centre of Maghnia serves as a fertile environment for innovation, where efforts have converged to establish an integrated ecosystem for supporting entrepreneurial thinking, led by The University Business Incubator Which works on mentoring innovators and startups from the 'ideation' stage to 'implementation,' by providing high-quality coaching and specialized consultations to obtain the 'Innovative Project' label

Alongside it, stands out Entrepreneurship Development Center (CDE) As a strategic link for developing students' entrepreneurial skills, in partnership with the National Entrepreneurship Support and Development Agency (NESDA), it focuses on practical training and technical mentorship. The center also includes Technology and Innovation Support Centre (CATI) which ensures the protection of intellectual property and patents
