The Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Literature is an academic programme geared towards the public and private sectors., and aims to enable students to acquire the linguistic, literary and critical knowledge and skills that will enable them meet the challenges in the education sector, as well as supporting the fields of media, communication, translation and proofreading, and private sectors such as kindergartens, tourism institutions, publishing and printing institutions, and others that require linguistic, literary and critical expertise.
This programme is characterised by the richness and diversity of its three branches: criticism - language - literature, and openness to specialised programmes and materials, as well as general and interdisciplinary materials that intersect with related sciences such as psychology and sociology, among others, enabling learners to engage in constructive critical thinking, precise linguistic writing, and encyclopaedic analysis of meaningful literary texts.
The bachelor's degree programme in Arabic Language and Literature is open to students who have obtained their baccalaureate and are willing to pursue this course of study, which will enable them to become senior officials in the state as competent teachers who contribute to the education of the younger generation.
It is also possible to enrol directly in national teacher training colleges.
Admission Requirements & Enrollment
The University Centre of Maghnia (UCM) offers diverse undergraduate programs open to both national and international applicants, subject to the following regulatory frameworks:

- The candidate must hold a degree in Baccalaureate degree or an internationally recognized equivalent
- Registration via the official ""Study in Algeria"" (Study in Algeria).
- Prior attainment of an Equivalence Certificate from the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Bachelor's programme in Arabic Language and Literature is aimed at students who have obtained their Baccalaureate in literature as their first subject and another subject as their second subject. After completing the common education base marked by the literary studies division, in which the student spends two semesters (the first and second), during which he or she is supposed to acquire the most important basic information about the Arabic language in terms of its grammar and rhetoric, as well as some other linguistic and literary knowledge. Then, according to the rules of guidance and pedagogical arrangement, the student branches out into branches that direct the student to the stage of linguistic studies, literary studies, and critical studies Therefore, students specialising in Arabic literature have already completed their basic education and are fully prepared for specialised education, which guarantees a deeper understanding of linguistic, literary and critical sciences. |

The Bachelor's programme in Arabic Language and Literature, with its basic, methodological, exploratory and horizontal subjects and vocabulary, will enable students to acquire the academic and professional knowledge that will help them to understand linguistic, literary and critical sciences and apply this knowledge specifically to the Arabic language. Students will be able to apply this knowledge and science in the future when they graduate and enter the world of work or within scientific research.
