Activities of the awareness and training days organized by the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI)
The awareness and training days organized by the Technology and Innovation Support Center (CATI) continued today at the Coworking Space at the University Center of Maghnia.
The second day (May 2nd) featured an intensive practical workshop presented by the distinguished Dr. Fodil El Amine, dedicated to a vital topic for every student and innovator: "Drafting and Filing Patents: Process and Best Practices."
Key Highlights of Today’s Workshop:
Mastering Drafting Steps: How to professionally write the technical description, claims, and abstract.
Acceptance Criteria: A detailed explanation of patentability requirements (novelty, inventive step, and industrial applicability)
• The Practical Side: A realistic simulation of writing claims for a hypothetical invention.
• Digitalization: A demonstration of how to use the ePCT system of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) for electronic filing.
Thanks to this training, our students now possess the technical and legal tools necessary to transform their innovative projects into legally protected assets, contributing to the valuation of scientific research results.
