About the Laboratory

     The Laboratory for Evaluation and Foresight of Economic Policies and Enterprise Strategies (LEPPESE) was established in 2019 by Decree No. 309, dated March 31, 2019, within the Institute of Economic, Commercial, and Management Sciences at the University Center of Maghnia.

      The laboratory aims to analyze and evaluate macroeconomic policies using modern econometric tools that enable the diagnosis and foresight of gaps in economic policy performance. This process helps determine whether these policies are achieving or deviating from their intended economic objectives. Furthermore, the laboratory aims to provide both public and private economic enterprises with the latest strategic and quantitative diagnostic tools, contributing to their sustainability and the achievement of economic benefits at both micro and macro levels

Scientific Objectives of the Laboratory

The laboratory seeks to accomplish and achieve a set of objectives, namely:

Training of Researchers

Training researchers and decision-makers in public and private institutions on modern quantitative tools for decision support

Training of Doctoral Students

Training of doctoral students in the field of Economic, Commercial and Management Sciences

International and National Conferences

Organizing and participating in international and national conferences, as well as producing international scientific publications and books

Economic and Financial Consulting

Providing economic and financial consultancy services

Linking scientific research outputs to economic sectors

The laboratory comprises seven research teams, including a distinguished group of researchers of various academic ranks active in the fields of Economic and Management Sciences. It is equipped with the latest technological and pedagogical facilities to support researchers in their work. Additionally, the laboratory holds three cooperation agreements with national research bodies and one international partnership

The laboratory’s researchers possess a substantial scientific output, including publications in indexed international journals, participation in prestigious international conferences, and the authorship of scientific and pedagogical books. Furthermore, they have contributed to numerous national and international research projects focused on studying socio-economic phenomena. Their contributions involve data collection, the creation of comprehensive databases, and the preparation of rigorous scientific studies and reports related to these fields
